The “La Pastora” comes from the Cooperative Tarrazu RL. The Cooperative was founded in 1960 from 228 small coffee farmers. Today, they are one of the most famous coffee exporters in Costa Rica.

Reason for that is the good quality!

This crop Involves collaboration with 3000 producers/members; more than 80% of the farmers just have 4 hectares or less. The Cooperative helps his members with credits, technical service, fertilizers and much more.

Today they have 250 wet mills in Costa Rica; just some years ago they had 100, the purpose of this is, that farmers like to take care for the quality as long as they can. More than the half of the coffee crop is exported to the USA. Over 1 million tourists from the USA visit Costa Rica; most interesting region is Tarrazu, also for the Europeans.
