Foge is a name of small village where our wet/dry mill that we call Foge found. The mill was established 10 years ago. This mill serves 418 smallholder farmers which collectively owns 373.8 hectares coffee farm from the villages of Foge and Hafursa waro. We buy freshly harvested red coffee cherries that are handpicked from 418 out growers for processing.

The selected red cherries will be put on natural drying raised beds usually for 21 days or more depending on the temperature. After the coffee finalized it drying on the natural sun, it will go through under huller for removal of the outer cover or cascara in the site.

After transported to Addis Ababa warehouse the parchment coffees go through under huller, sieve and color sorter for the final cleaning. After pre shipment samples are approved by Coffee quality & inspection center of Ethiopia, The coffee will be staffed in a container which all six walls are lined with craft paper and go to Djibouti port with the preferred vessel.
