Про каву:

Our origin operation in Papua New Guinea sources Lamana A 15+ Natural from various smallholder farmers in the Eastern Highlands Province. The cherries are transported directly from very small, block-hold farms to the Lahamenegu mill, which is owned and managed by our origin office. Coffee is selectively chosen from farmers within our registered supply chains, fostering close interaction and encouraging long-term relationships to maintain production consistency. Supply is primarily made upon request.

The cherry selection process, combined with raised bed sun drying, ensures consistent quality across the product. Drying time is slow, typically lasting up to four weeks. The dried cherry is then rested in our conditioning bins to achieve the best cup results. Subsequently, it is hulled to beans only closer to the shipment period.

Each lot offers exclusive qualities, presenting an opportunity to increasethe household income of the farmers involved. Parchment is sourced and stored at individual supply buying points following certification guidelines. It is then transferred to the Lahamenegu dry mill, which serves as the central
processing plant in the Eastern Highlands Province. The parchment is dried to under twelve percent moisture content, either by the farmers or through some mechanical drying at the Volcafe PNG mill if necessary. The green beans are then screened and sorted to meet the grade’s specifications. To preserve quality, the coffee remains in the highlands, where humidity is lower. It is transported approximately two hundred miles by road to the port city of Lae, ensuring timely delivery to
meet vessel schedules.
