Gitesi Coffee Washing Station was established in 2005 and began operations in 2006. Today, it is supplied by approximately 1,830 coffee farmers from the surrounding area. Owned and managed by Gahizi Alex, the station has built a strong and trusted relationship with its farmers, offering end-of-season bonuses based on performance as a way to encourage quality and loyalty.
RTC first partnered with Gitesi in 2011, providing operating capital to support production costs. That year, Gitesi delivered 34,000 kg of parchment to RTC. Since then, the station has consistently maintained high standards, regularly producing the equivalent of two containers of top-quality green coffee annually.
