The most important producing area of the Municipality of Pitalito in the south of Huila, is located in the confluence of the Central and Eastern Andean mountain chains, offering a special setup for coffee production. This small town (“corregimiento” in Spanish) has been recognized with the highest record of specialty coffees awards.
