In the cooperative “El Jilguero” 50 women and 60 men are united, who grow organic on an average of 10 hectares on a small scale.
The cooperative members are constantly working to improve quality and continue to grow in coffee growing. The small cooperative works very family and tries to support the individual small farmers as much as possible. This way, farmers who have problems with insect infestation are helped, children are provided with textbooks, and new seeds are distributed to members.
Under these conditions, a very sustainably produced coffee, which is very sweet by the honey-processing, at the same time has a pleasant sparkling acidity and is all in all very balanced.
