Uraga Washing Station has 12 standardized fermentation tanks and is following international coffee washing and preparation rules and procedures. The coffee is dried on more than 280 drying beds, each one marked with a code to track the processing status. The red cherries are picked and freshly sorted before pulping. Over-ripe and under-ripe beans are handpicked and separated before processing. The sorted cherries are pulped and allowed to ferment naturally.
The fermented coffee is washed with clean running water.
