RWAMBITI is a kikuyu name which means a place where there many hyaena. The place where the factory is located used to have many hyaenas in early days. The area is very fertile for agricultural production and therefore was very viable for the factory, which was constructed and opened for processing in 1962. The peaks of snow capped famous Mt. Kenya are very visible area and good scenery for tourist attraction.
